Why Come to the University of Cincinnati?
There are plenty of reasons to come to the University of Cincinnati besides coming for the hockey program. You will find in this section resources that give you more information about the University, the sports, and the City of Cincinnati.

Six Basketball Courts

There are many different programs/majors available to students. Not sure what UC has to offer or what you want to do? Check out the UC Exploratory website.
The University of Cincinnati has two, very prestigious colleges, the Design, Archictecture, Art and Planning (DAAP) and the College Conservatory of Music. What is wonderful about being part of the team, is that you’ll be with students of different backgrounds and interests. If you have any questions, coaches, leadership, and of course your teammates can point you in the right direction!
Last but certainly not least is the city of Cincinnati itself. There is a lot to do around the city away from campus. Check out City Beat, which tells you how to plan your free time! We have many festivals here including the second largest celebration of Oktoberfest in the world (next to Munich, Germany)! We have a strong German heritage here, so it’s never hard to find places such as Meckenburg Gardens and just across the river in Newport, Kentucky, The Hofbrauhaus.
Even if you don’t have a car (which some teammates will have) there are plenty of reasons to stay on campus, and still have plenty of things to do! The University keeps a weekly calender of events just to give you the option of staying on campus. The Programs and Activities Council (PAC) schedules comedians, musicians, and other notable speakers throughout the year, including their big event, the Spring Concert! For the past two years, UC has been entertained by N.E.R.D. and Ludacris!
The University of Cincinnati is home to the Bearcats. Major sports include Football (with back to back Big East Championships), Basketball, Baseball, and Soccer. Not to far up the street is Crosstown rival, the Xavier Muskateers. Cincinnati is also the home to the NFL’s Cincinnati Bengals, the MLB’s Cincinnati Reds, and the ECHL’s two time Kelly Cup champion, Cincinnati Cyclones!
There are so many reasons why Cincinnati would be a perfect place for you, so if you want to know more about the school, or the City, do not hesitate to ask a Recruiter or the Webmaster!
